Love what you love
and don't be shy about it.
Hi! So I just stumbled across your blog while googling vct tile kitchens and I had to leave a comment because we practically have the same house! Seriously... I read your post about taking down those sheers and I went through the same thing when I first moved into my home... I thought my arm was going to fall off from all the unscrewing I had to do! Anyway.. I'm anxious to see pictures of your floors. I wanted to try checkerboard cork tiles but then realized that they were out of my budget. There are so many colors of vct I'm having trouble visualising it... good luck!
hey joy! i know what you mean about visualizing it...i'm finding it nearly impossible! i got a box full of tiny VCT tiles from a local flooring store and i just can't seem to figure out what the right color choices are from those tiny samples. this is why i've been thinking and blogging about this for a year now and the floors still aren't done! hopefully soon though, and good luck to you too! i'm actually planning on buying some tile at home depot today just to lay it out in a checkerboard pattern and see for myself. even if i end up going with cork (which i'm not so sure about anymore), at least i'll be able to get an idea of what it'll look like and can return the tiles if i need to.ps. you should write a blog and post pics of your 50's rancher too! i'd love to see it :)
